The Life of Olive

It's Olive's World, and we're all just living in it!

Olive’s journey began as a stray kitten born in the countryside. At around three and a half weeks old, she vanished for a full 24 hours, only to be discovered far away in an old abandoned barn with no clear explanation of how she ended up there.

When she was five weeks old, her mother stopped caring for her kittens and disappeared. I immediately went to pick Olive up upon learning that her mother was no longer present. Olive was extremely thin and hungry, so I began bottle-feeding her and, to the best of my abilities, teaching her the ways of being a cat. To my amazement, she picked up on everything remarkably quickly at such a young age.

However, we faced another scare when Olive had a severe reaction to her first distemper shot, which nearly cost her life. As a result, the veterinarian advised that she should remain indoors and avoid contact with unvaccinated animals.

Despite her challenges, Olive loves watching the little critters through the windows and sneak bread or vegan cream cheese and butter off of my plate. She is a total carbs girl!

Her vibrant, sassy personality endears her to us every day and we spoil her as often as we can.

Adopting Olive has been one of the most rewarding decisions of our lives, and if you ever have the opportunity to save or adopt a cat, I wholeheartedly recommend it—you won’t regret it!
